How cool is this? Scientists have discovered a type of fly that will lay eggs on the dreaded fire ants, which then essentially turn the ants into zombies, thereby rendering them harmless:
You can either use your imagination to ponder this awesomeness or read all about it right here while you listen to these zombie/ant tunes.

Wow... That is disgusting but really amazing. Nice selections :-)
Marcie, I hesitate to say these three words but, my dear, you are wrong.
Zombies? Harmless? No sir, absolutely not. And I speak as something of
an expert on zombies and zombie music just now, of which more will be
revealed in due course.
rachel--my daughter is into rob zombie, i got that from her!
Normally I find brain-eating disgusting, but since fire ants are the
victims--Standing ovation! Lizards are great, but BUGS--EWWW. Now where
are the brain-eating fly larvae that turn aphids into zombies that won't
destroy my melons and cucumbers? Eh???
linda--i guess that begs the question, do aphids have brains??? ;-) or, is
it possible to find some lizards that feed on fire ants?
My darling little horned lizards actually do eat ants, just not fire ants.
They prefer the big, red kind that aren't fire ants but bite like hell
anyway.
