Why? Well, Why Not?

I seem to be on a stranger-than-your-average-band kick these days. I can't seem to get enough of this unpredictable experimental-yet-melodic-non-traditional music.
Why? is the latest. This is how the gang at r5 productions describes them: "folk-pop, indie-hop, psych-rock." I'd have to agree. They're a veritable genre hopper, often all in the course of one song. I hear rap, hip-hop drumbeats, spaced out guitars, and acoustic strumming. Why?'s lead singer and de-facto leader is Yoni Wolf, who appears to be a member of numerous bands, including cLOUDDEAD. He sings their wacked-out lyrics with an immediacy that gets across the intensity of the feeling without taming the weirdness.
