Yesterday I unexpectedly had the entire day practically free. My two youngest children are away from home for the next few days and the oldest sleeps so much that it's almost as though she's not here, so I felt like I could do whatever I wanted.
So what did I do? Nothing productive, I can tell you that! We went shopping for school stuff and I contemplated taking a bike ride but mostly I caught up with the happenings in the blogosphere. I should have taken advantage of the absence of the mess-makers and cleaned the house, but that can always wait, am I right? Why waste a perfectly good day doing that?
Speaking of the blogosphere, Colin over at and before the first kiss wants to know what your summer soundtrack has been. In addition to a few other songs, these have been spending a lot of time on repeat on my ipod lately.
Kelley Polar--"A Feeling of the All-Thing" mp3 off I Need You to Hold on to While the Sky Is Falling (buy) I have Rahawa from The Pop Filter to thank for this one. She posted it a couple of months ago and it's become a real favorite.
Pulp Stellastarr Immuzikation--"Like My Friend (Immuzikation Gabiblend)" mp3 This is one fantastic mash-up by Immuzikation that I can't stop listening to. I'm looking for the Stellastarr half of it--"My Coco"--if anyone happens to have it and cares to share.
Low--"Like a Forest" mp3 off Things We Lost in the Fire (buy) Danielle from music is art put up this beauty a while back and as usual, she gave me something to hang on to when I think I'm going to lose my grip.
Here's to going with the flow and taking advantage of the unexpected!
