This is wonderful Sunday music. I don't often find it appropriate to use the word "ethereal," but this is one time it really fits. I love the dreamy, ambient feel, and his voice reminds me ever so slightly of Antony's of Antony and the Johnsons, but from far away, perhaps in an upstairs room.
From Brooklyn, The Antlers is Peter Silberman, whose last album was called In the Attic of the Universe. He's been working on a full-length follow-up album, but in the meantime found himself recording this music, too. He's offering the EP, called Cold War, as a free download.
