When I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad. Oh my god, I'm quoting a singing nun! I really am sinking low today. What better to cheer me up than a little shot of
Spencer Krug.
Here's an interview he did with
Prefix magazine. He uses the word "dirty" twice. He's got a little moustache in the photo. And he's not interested in having his own myspace page. There. Now I feel a little less rotten.
I know everybody and their uncle has some
Sunset Rubdown by now, but this is a particularly lovely song. Well, perhaps lovely isn't the right word. Tender? Understated yet complex? You've got your glockenspiel, the whistling, and the especially peculiar lyrics:
"I've heard of creatures who eat their babies. I wonder if they stop to think about the taste? . . . I am a creature, I am surviving, I want to be alone but I want your body. So when you eat me, mother and baby, oh baby, mother me before you eat me."

Check them out for Spencer's latest moustache growth.
