I did not care for Sarah Palin, I think that was abundantly clear. However, I did learn one valuable thing from her and that is, it's OK to wear a little more blush than I normally do. I've always tended to be conservative with the cheek color, but ever since she came (and went, thankfully), I realized that I could do with a little more contour to my cheeks, hence I'm living on the wild side and applying my blush a little more liberally.
This has absolutely nothing to do with today's song, other than I think it's a really strange song and I also think that a beauty lesson is an odd thing to glean from someone you can't abide. I promise you'll be able to abide this song, though. It's weird, this is true, but in a way that seems just right.
Seb Roberts is originally from Canada and this is his second record on Spoilt Victorian Child Records, which is run by a blog friend of mine. I've learned to trust Simon's musical instincts, which, by extension, I hope you will, too.

Curses I was literally about to post that track when I thought I'd see if
it was on Hype Machine, and what do you know you beat me by a couple of
hours haha. It is odd but in a good way as you say.
ha! that's funny, because it took hours and hours for hype to pick it up
today. i thought maybe it wouldn't because largehearted boy had it up
before me, but i've found that if you doctor the id tag a wee bit,
sometimes that fools hype. so i say you should post it anyway! about palin,
oh, i know what you mean, too. i think she's a very attractive woman, until
she opens her mouth! : )
She's not going away anytime soon. I hear she's getting a book deal, so
you'll see her face all over the bookstores in a bit!
oh dear god, i was hoping that since ted stevens lost re-election that she
would disappear from the scene for a while. ugh!!
I'm so glad you wrote about this because I found myself growing more and
more fond of the updo/glasses combo, even as I wanted the earth to open up
and swallow her whole.
