You gotta love that shuffle feature on the old iPod. When I'm not sure what I want to listen to or when I'm feeling adventurous, I put it on and let it do its thing. Sometimes I hear stuff and think, what IS that? I didn't know I had that! Conversely, sometimes I think, WTF is that?! I can't believe I have that.
It's always inspiring though, and this morning it brought up
k.d. lang covering
Joni Mitchell's "Jericho," off
Hymns of the 49th Parallel. What a lovely song. It showcases k.d.'s voice so well. And the words are so wise.

Next thing that came up? "The Girls of Porn," by none other than
Mr. Bungle. This was one of those songs that made me think WTF? But it made me laugh. And then, in it's inimitable wisdom, it played "Mojo" by
Peeping Tom, who is none other than
Mike Patton, the former vocalist for Mr. Bungle. Like I said, you gotta love that shuffle.
