This caught my eye as soon as I saw it in my inbox--"Thomas White of The Electric Soft Parade." You probably don't remember, but the song I chose from the last contrast podcast CD swap was "Empty at the End" by The Electric Soft Parade, so this music instantly interested me, even before I heard it!
The music is kind of weird and experimental (he cites The Dandy Warhols and Spiritualized among his influences) and it's certainly not the catchy pop tunes of The Electric Soft Parade, but I like it. It kind of washes over you in a semi-psychedelic wave of sound. Thomas White is one busy dude, as he plays in ESP, Brakes, and Restlesslist and is then releasing this, his first solo record.

The email I received included two lovely covers by The Electric Soft Parade, including this Elliott Smith beauty and an Aislers Set track, so I figure you might as well enjoy them, too.
