Ruby

     Have you ever watched Ruby? It's a reality show that follows an extremely overweight woman, Ruby, as she tries to lose weight and regain her life. It's fascinating. Not in a morbid way, but because she's so genuine. She's working as hard as she possibly can to learn how to take care of herself and get healthy, both physically and emotionally.

     I'm very drawn to her struggle. I really admire her and I want her to succeed so badly. I guess I see a little piece of myself in her story. Not to the extreme she's gotten to, we all face different demons, but each of us has something that we beat against every day, something that threatens to take us down if we don't consciously fight it back. I sort of feel like if Ruby can do it against such great odds, then I can too.
