Moonbabies is one of my all-time favorite bands, and Chris at a free man has done a great interview with them. He was kind enough to ask me to contribute a few questions (well, he asked me for one but I gave him three) and then he very generously gave me credit for them in the interview. I can't tell you how cool I think that is.
So hop on over and read it for yourself. Ola Frick (he and his wife Carina Johannson are the band) is a pretty interesting guy who doesn't hold back on what he thinks about things. He's what you might call forthright!
I checked out the Moonbabies website and not only has Ola linked to my blog, a free man and the interview itself, but he's got four songs up for free download. They're from their 2002 EP, Standing on the Roof/Filtering the Daylight, which is no longer in print, so he's giving it away in an effort to keep us fans happy until they're done writing and recording their new album. They're in Berlin right now working on it but there is no date for release yet.
A while ago, they offered up some outtakes from their album The Orange Billboard, and this is one of my favorites. I used to listen to it when I rode my bike last summer. It's really beautiful and certainly something to strive for.

They've got several more songs for download at their myspace, so you should check it out.
I didn't notice the free songs, cool. Thanks again for tipping me off to
them. "Moonbabies at the Ballroom" was a great Trans-Atlantic flight
soundtrack this weekend!
