My Favorite Jeans Are Starting to Wear Thin

I'm getting distressed over something that in the big scheme of things is relatively unimportant, but unfortunately for me right now, it seems that even the smallest shit is causing me undue alarm. What's happening? My favorite Old Navy jeans are starting to wear thin, I can feel it. And I only have the one pair. I've looked and looked for the same exact style and I can't find them anywhere. I'm afraid this represents something much bigger, but right now it's too awful to even contemplate.

Oh dear, the suffering of change. I had a similar thing happen recently to
a fave pair of jeans, and it is oddly disconcerting.

fil, you are so wise and kind. and of course, from now on i shall always
buy multiple pairs when i find them. it's just that i didn't know how much
i'd love them when i first got them, and when i finally realized how great
they really were, it was too late.
