Good lord, I almost forgot that yesterday was Tuesday and the contrast podcast is up! The theme is "78 rpm," and unfortunately I did not participate, but you can download/listen to it here all the same. Next week the topic is "Infidelity," so put your thinking cap on and come up with something to submit.
There's also a new episode of blogfresh radio up that I'm in (it's a weekly show, too). I'm always afraid I ramble incoherently about whomever I'm discussing, which was Blockhead this time, but they manage to make me sound like I'm making sense. You can read what I said about him in the first place right here and listen to the show here.
One more thing--remember that silly website I posted about that was set up to sell young girls as brides? Turns out you all were right, it is bogus (according to Newsweek magazine). I'm so proud of you for figuring that out.

A quick note: the astute among you may notice that my links and such are a slightly different shade of green than they used to be. That's because I finally figured out (with a little help from some friends) how to make them appear for those of you using Safari as your browser. The only problem now is how to make them match the old color.
mjrc, I know what you mean about almost forgetting yesterday was Tuesday.
Something about the Fall - even though we don't have young'uns - and time
flies like an arrow. (Fruit flies like a banana...) This CP theme was a
tough one I think for most folks, but should be interesting to listen to.
Thanks for the reminder!
I have a song on the 78 podcast only because Tim e-mailed that theme out a
couple of weeks ago when I had more time to hunt for a song and make my
recording. I actually knocked out three podcast submissions in two days
then. I hope he'll continue with the early-warning system because it
really works for me. :)
wre--omg, i am going crazy this month! i kind of wanted to do this podcast,
but my turntable doesn't do 78 rpm, so i was out of luck. and this week's
theme is hard, too.
Hey mrjc, Speaking of "Infidelity" + Blockhead, did you ever hear the
Blockhead remix of Regina Spektor's 'Fidelity'? I know you're crazy about
Blockhead, so it should be right up your alley. I don't know that it ever
got a proper release, but you can check it out here;
thank you, curtis, this is so cool. i love how he places it in a minor key,
very well done. but i'm not so sure about the drums. i think that might be
overkill, in that had he left it simpler it would be better. it's
definitely worth listening to, though. thanks again. : )
