Who is Udler, you may be asking yourself. What is Udler? Is it some hip, new indie band I discovered?
Nope. Udler is my cat. He's 19 years old. That makes him older than a lot of you.
Funny thing about cats. After they reach a certain age, they stop grooming themselves. At least all my kitties have. Poor Udler.
He is one mangy-looking cat. Someone told me he looks like a cat from
Stephen King's
Pet Sematary. Must admit that's a pretty spot-on description.
He leads a pretty limited life, too. He still eats and makes it to the litter box, but his day mainly consists of following the sunshine around the house and sleeping in it. Every once in a while I find him standing in his food bowl. I think he has kitty Alzheimer's. Other than that, he's relatively healthy (for an ancient feline, that is). I don't think he's ever going to die.
Did you know that a cat has three names? The name you give him, his name in winter, and the name he calls himself.
What does this have to do with music? Nothing. I just wanted to share a bit. And to remind my friends and family that if they ever find ME standing in the food bowl, that means it's time to put me out of my misery.
