My Eyes Are Two Different Colors
My eyes are two different colors. They always have been. I don't know why I'm bringing this up other than because last week I was looking at them in the mirror and it was more apparent than usual. Technically I guess they're hazel, but I always put green when I have to say. One is almost blue-green and the other is more yellow-green, like a real hazel.
Now I remember why I was thinking about this! When I was a young thing, all of 15 perhaps, I had a huge crush on a boy named Richie Robeson. He was beautiful. He didn't like me back, of course, but he was very nice about it and he told me that my eyes would drive some other man mad someday.
That was sweet and I always appreciated it, but the best thing Richie Robeson ever did for me was introduce me to Todd Rundgren. He said I simply had to get Something/Anything and from the very first listen I fell in love with Todd, who, as it turns out, has been a much more long-lived and influential companion!
So although his prediction about my eyes wasn't right, Richie was spot-on about the Todd, and for that I will always be grateful.

p.p.s. There's an actual name for this--"heterochromia." How cool is that? I always thought I was just weird!

David Bowie has two different coloured eyes, but not from heterochromia. It
was a childhood accident that made one pupil permanently dilated, thus
giving the appearance of two different colours.

pluto--i knew he had two different colored eyes but i didn't know why. now
i'm going to have to go look at pictures of him to see if i can see it!
I went to school with a boy who had one blue eye and one brown eye. He was
pretty cute. My opinion of him was altered somewhat though on our Year 10
camp when he was busted for a wee bit of pot smoking on the first night. It
wasn't so much the drug use that bothered me - more the lack of brains that
he displayed by talking about it inside his tent as one of the teachers was
walking past . Yeah, tents aren't soundproof, eejit. Or scentproof, for
that matter.
don't tell anybody, but way back in the day i smoked pot with richie
robeson, too. only we were smart enough (sneaky enough?) not to get caught!
I'm glad you were at least clever enough to get away with it. Oh, and of
course I won't tell anyone.
I just love Todd Rundgren. I get chills everytime I youtube his 'Hello It's
Me' performance from the old Midnight Special program.
