Musicians Take Over the Contrast Podcast
Today's episode of the contrast podcast is another edition of one of Tim's signature podcast themes. Usually we the common folk choose the songs and do the introductions ourselves. Every so often, however, Tim gathers together the musicians themselves to do the choosing and the introducing and it always produces a great mix of tunes. This week's podcast includes Temposhark and Anathallo to name just a couple of the great bands that took part.
Next week's theme is the first of two CD Swap episodes and it's already been completed. In fact, the next few episodes are already in the can as our fearless leader Tim is on a lovely holiday somewhere in the southern hemisphere. So just relax and enjoy them as they roll out and I'll be sure to let you know when the next one comes up that is open for new submissions.
Speaking of musicians, have you heard the new Death Cab for Cutie song? Check it out. It's classic DCFC in the way it builds in intensity (think Transatlanticism) but there's a different tone to it, darker and more elegant yet forceful. Less "oh god, please be mine" and more "you will be mine."
