Mini Mix of Moderately Peppy Indie Pop Music

    When I finish a run, I'm usually on an endorphin high (at least I always thought I was). It lasts about an hour on a good day, maybe ten minutes on a not-so-good day. The other day was not so good, but in those precious moments when I felt lifted and inspired, I thought, Hey, I should put together a peppy, poppy mix to try to keep my spirits up.

    The other reason I'm doing this is because if I waited until I researched the bands and heard more of their music, I'd never get around to posting some of these songs. So, in the name of expedience and inspiration, here you go: Marcy's mini mix of moderately peppy indie pop music.

Cary Brothers--"Who You Are" mp3 off Who You Are (buy) Same dude who sang the ever-so-romantic "Blue Eyes" from the Garden State soundtrack.

Scouting For Girls--"Elvis Ain't Dead (Demo)" mp3 This was my back-up pick for last week's contrast podcast, btw. Visit obscure sound to read an excellent article about the London-based band. This song's not on their EP, It's Not About You, but you can buy the EP here.
