It's Tuesday, so it's contrast podcast day, and today's theme is Snap! Which for whatever reason means we were to pick two songs that had the same title but were by different bands. Harder than it sounds, because there are a whole lot of songs with the same title! Check it out here.
I'm not in it this week because I took so long to make a choice that it was full up before I could decide. Had I gotten my act together in time, I think these two songs are what I'd have picked. They're what I'm picking today, however, and that's all that matters at this point.
Regina Spektor--"Us" mp3 off Soviet Kitsch (buy) Whoops! Uploaded the wrong file there, but it's fixed now. Sorry 'bout that!
Stephen Malkmus--"Us" mp3 off Pig Lib (buy)
Next week's theme is Alliteration, and I do know what that means because it's my suggestion! It also means that Tim, our podcast curator, is not back from his travels yet, so this episode is already done. I think the following week things will be back to normal and you will have a chance to contribute if you so desire.
p.s. I bet you're glad to be rid of that hairy picture from yesterday, am I right?
I'm out on this one, too, since I didn't really understand the concept. (I
guess I should have listened to the end of the previous podcast for the
explanation! DUH!) ANyway, it's just as well. I'm happy to just listen to
CP now and then.
this episode was done and in the can before tim left on his trip and it
filled up really fast because everyone had two songs in it, so even if you
did understand it, it was too late! the next one is done already, too, at
least i think it is. it seems like so long ago that we did it. sorry to
hear about your brain farting--maybe it's residual effects from the
anesthesia?!
