I used to call these kinds of posts my lazy posts but lately I've been too lazy to do a proper one, hence this has been a long time coming.
I've been meaning to write about School of Seven Bells for a while now, ever since I heard "Connjur" and "Chain." Linda over at Speed of Dark likes them too, and has a bit more to say about them than I can manage to get to. Check out her post here.
School of Seven Bells--"Chain" mp3 off Ghostly Swim (buy--this wonderful sampler is free)
Kevin, who writes mp3 Hugger, has got a slew of great music up. There are too many posts to link to and so I suggest just stopping by and scrolling down. You won't be disappointed what with the likes of new tracks from A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Lisa Hannigan, and The Gorgeous Colours.
There's lots going on at 17 Seconds. Ed has gone and started a record label called, appropriately enough, 17 Seconds Records. You can get a taste of what he's into by checking out his post on Aberfeldy, a Edinburgh, Scotland band that has the privilege of being the first to sign to his label.
Rahawa from The Pop Filter got a job! Congratulations! Read about her new job right here. She's also put up a lovely song by Chris Flew that you can listen to here, a singer-songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland who has caught my ear as well.
Chris Flew--"Drowning" mp3 off Kingston Bridge (buy--this is available for free, too)
Last but not least, Agnes over at It All Started With Carbon Monoxide has two things to be happy about. She has quite tastefully redesigned her site and now she's got broadband! Check out her celebratory post right here.
There's loads more I could write about but this will have to do for now. Tomorrow is another day, after all!
Thanks for the linkage Marcy - was actually coming here to say that the
Belle & Sebastian track you posted the other day was my first 'test-run'
download to check out the speed of my new connection. Fab track, I hadn't
heard this one before. Nice choice!
you're most welcome. glad you liked the b&s and even more glad the
broadband is doing what it's supposed to do for you! of course, i will miss
those ranting posts about your former internet supplier!
Shucks, Marcy. Thank you ever so much! =)
i used to think i was being lazy by not coming up with something to write
about on my own, but now i think the linking posts are a bit more involved
than a self-contained one, because you have to add in all those links!
