Didn't see it yet, but I recall "Anne Of A Thousand Days," and every other period flick about Hank #8.

I cracked up at my mom once, who said Henry VIII died young and of syphilis because he beheaded women and split from the Catholic Church (God) to do what he wanted. She thought it was just punishment. I have to bite my tongue. He was in his mid-50's when he croaked, which wasn't a bad life span for the times!

not bad for the times, but looking pretty freaking bad for today, amirite?!

the movie was ok, btw. like a really intense soap opera. no mention of the syphilis, though!

Maybe I'll just wait for it on HBO then.

I am a sucker for movies about the Tudors, though. I need a life. ;)
