I Haven't Actually Disappeared, But I've Come Close
I know I've been seriously negligent here at the blog and I apologize for my neglect. My only excuse is that I'm too busy. Too busy to listen to much new music, let alone write about it. I'm even too busy to think of non-music-related stuff to post.
And it's not like I have anything extra interesting going on that's keeping me so tied up. It's just work. Work and life. In the past, no matter how busy I was, in the back of my head I was always formulating something to say. But these days I'm not even processing thoughts on a back-burner level. I'm afraid I feel pretty much tapped out.
It makes me kind of sad, because I used to be so reliable. I used to have so many ideas that I could hardly keep up, but these days they're just not flowing. I'm not calling it quits, mind you. In fact I just paid the yearly fee to keep my blog up and running, so I won't be disappearing, but I can't promise anything resembling regular posting.

I hear ya! I find that doing two or three quick posts in one sitting and
then scheduling them to appear later helps. That way I don't feel that
nagging need to post every day. I'll still be stopping by to see what
you're up to!
i haven't even been reading other people's blogs, i'm so out of it. i just
visited you for the first time in almost two weeks! i think your idea is a
good one, actually, maybe i'll try that the next time i get a burst of
creative energy. :)
I think we all go through this from time to time. Hopefully it's just a
funk and you'll bounce back!
Don't worry. We'll still be here. =)

i really appreciate that, rachel, and i think you are definitely
right--every blogger i know seems to go through this at some point or
another. of course, some of us go through it more often than others!
Yeah... I have been going through it for a couple of years now... hehe It
is still fun for me, I will stop when it is no longer fun. Do I lose
readers by not posting everyday? Yes. But it doesn't bother me anymore, I
do it because I love to share what I am listening to not because I want the
most readers. :-) Hang in there and keep doing what your doing until it is
no longer fun.
