This week's contrast podcast theme is a continuation of the Who, What, When, Where and Why episodes, with today's magic word being "How." You can download or listen to it here. I chose a lovely song by Pelle Carlberg, "How I Broke My Foot and Met Jesus," which I featured once before.
The real excitement today, though, is that Dario Franchitti won the Indy 500 on Sunday, making him the first Scotsman since Jim Clark in 1964 to do so (yes, I realize I'm two days late with this news).
I must tell you that I predicted his win. How did I do that? Well, I was watching the parade from the day before (my son's marching band was in it, which made me very proud, btw), and I heard dear Dario being interviewed. All it took was one look and and, more importantly, one listen to his adorable accent to make me a fan. I decided right then and there that he was going to win, and I was right!

Next week's contrast podcast theme is "seas, oceans and all things marine," so get your rear in gear and submit something. Also, the latest edition of blogfresh radio is up, and you can hear me blather on about Black Moth Super Rainbow if you desire. Question--were they too weird for you all? I didn't sense any great love when I posted about them last week. You should give them a chance. Their freakiness will cast a spell on you. Plus I heard that Dario listens to them while he trains . . . .
'Fashion Nugget' is such a good album! Doesn't seem to get the attention
it deserves from critics. 'The Distance' has got to be my favourite. All
killer riffs and finely crafted tunes.
