Happy Halloween, or Let's Get Our Ghoul On, Why Don't We?

posted Tuesday, 31 October 2006
Happy Halloween, everybody! When I was a kid, it was hands-down my favorite holiday. Even better than Christmas, I think, because I loved getting dressed up so much. Perhaps my all-time favorite costume was from in the 6th grade, when I was none other than Kung Fu's Mother. Yeah, I know, Kung Fu didn't have a mother, but I was oh-so-inspired that year. I think I won honorable mention, too, and got a huge candy bar or something. Good times.

Oh, I'm quite delighted that Tim over at Contrast Podcast has got this week's podcast already up and running. This week's theme was "Music to Watch Ghouls By," and it looks like a truly spooky venture, to say the least. And quite diverse, everything from zombies to brains to knives to pet cemetaries. Go here to listen and get your ghoul on!
This is kind of funny. I'm the designated candy-dispenser tonight, and as I was answering the door, I realized it has quite a squeak, so I've been standing behind it and opening it verrrrry slowwwwly and seeing if I can scare the little children. So far, they all think I'm pretty lame, but I'm having fun!

Indeed, Halloween is grand! Folks in the UK do not go in for it in a huge way, so it is nice to see it done properly here in North America! By the way, do you remember those Ben Cooper costumes with cheapo plastic masks that came in a cardboard box? I used to love those as a wee lad...

it's funny, when i was a kid, i almost never had a store-bought costume. i do remember those, but my mother insisted we make our own out of whatever we had on hand. and yes, here in the u.s. halloween has gotten almost out of control--people decorate their yards with lights and paraphernalia almost to the extent they do at christmas--crazy!

Happy Halloween!!!

I just want to say that since ezarchive doesn't seem to work, maybe you can try multiply.com. I believe it is able to store your music and let others download. Cheers ;)
