Friday Freakout!

    Ah, I'm just messing with you. I'm not freaking out over anything. I just like the way that sounds--Friday Freakout!

    I do have a couple of things to mention, though. First up is an interview I did for Jez over at innersounds. He's doing a whole series of interviews with the bloggers on his blog roll and he's calling it "Brothers on the Side." Of course for me he changed it to "Sisters on the Side," which I appreciate and is a perfect example of the thoughtful kind of guy he is.

    When he first suggested it I got a little nervous, as is my tendency, but I decided to Say Yes. That's my new philosophy these days, Say Yes. Anyhoo, it was a lot of fun to do and I think it came out pretty decently. The whole series is fun to read.

    I'm not a huge Xiu Xiu fan but they did a freaky (I knew I'd work it in somehow) cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" that I like (actually, it's not all that freaky, just really stripped down and bare). The second song is a bit freakier and is off their new album Women As Lovers, which comes out Jan. 29th.
