Man, I had a heck of a time at the gym yesterday. I was about 10 minutes into my run, feeling pretty good, too, when I went to take a swig of water from my water bottle. Well, the dang mouthpiece came off in my teeth and the bottle went flying, spilling on the treadmill and onto the floor behind me. I had to hit the stop button and get off, sop up the mess and wipe down the treadmill and the one next to me--thank god there wasn't anyone on it at the time. It really disrupted my flow. I got back on but then I had another issue, which I won't bore you with, but it caused me another delay, and by the time I got back into the swing again, my heart just wasn't in it anymore, so I ended up cutting my run short and saying the hell with it.

I love that song for some reason. It's got a cameo vocal by Bono, too, near the end.
Lanois's debut feature film, Here Is What Is, was screened at the Toronto Film Festival last fall and will be released in the U.S. in March. It's a movie about his life and many of the musicians he's worked with over the years, including U2, Brian Eno, Emmylou Harris--the list goes on. Even though I'm not a big fan of his stuff as a whole, I'm looking forward to hearing it.
