I really, really hate morning glory vine. It's the bane of my existence. Well, it's the bane of my gardening existence at any rate.
It's invasive and insidious and I can't keep up with it. I think it's all connected to one giant root that's living under my house, so no amount of weeding can conquer it. (Oh my god, I'm right!!) And with all the rain we've been having, it's multiplying so fast that I can practically see it growing before my eyes!
You know what else pisses me off? People who don't say thank you when you hold the door open for them. You remember me talking about my nemesis at the gym, right? Well, the other day she was coming in and I was going out and I held the door open for her and she didn't even look at me, let alone say thank you. So I just said, very sweetly, You're welcome! (And then under my breath I said, Bitch!) I don't even care if she heard me.
I also absolutely hate it when people drive under the speed limit. It's okay with me if you don't want to speed. I understand you might be wanted for arrest on an unrelated crime and don't want to get stopped for any reason or you might be extremely old and can't see very well. I'm down with that. But for god's sake, at least please do the speed limit. If you are that afraid to drive you really shouldn't be on the road in the first place, you know what I'm saying?
Okay, I guess that's enough venting for one morning. I hope I didn't ruin your day or anything--I just had to get a few things off my chest! Happy weekend, everyone.

p.s. It sure looks pretty, doesn't it? Don't be fooled--it's pure evil!
Nope, rant away. I've been in the same kind of mood lately!
i'm a bit like "marcy, marcy, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?"
these days!
Well said. I burst into laughter when I opened up the page this afternoon
and saw the posting title!! Damn, you got some insight, Marcy!! You know
what pisses me off? People behind you who honk their horn the millisecond
the light turns green because they want you to move. I live near Dartmouth
and it also makes me crazed that the students rarely use the crosswalks.
They just dart out into traffic to cross the street wherever they please.
Grrrowl.
tricia--i live near the university of delaware and the kids are totally
obnoxious when it comes to crossing the street. we have crosswalks where we
have to stop for pedestrians and they cross one . . . at . . . a . . . time
and never pick up the pace to keep the traffic flowing! oh, why can't we
all just work together to make the world a less stressful place???? ;-)
