The contrast podcast is all about "darts" this week but I could not manage to come anywhere near the bullseye with a song choice, so I'm not in the game. You can listen to it here. I'm sure I'll have much better luck next week, as the theme is "The hair."
In my half-hearted search for songs for this week, however, I did come across this very interesting song by the band Django Django. The harmonies are quite unusual, extremely close and in at least three parts. You'll have to tell me what you think.
Django Django--"Love's Dart" mp3 off--I don't think they have an album out. Check their myspace for more songs. Speaking of myspace, their band description says: "Booze, broads and barbershop chords," which is a pretty good summation of their sound!
My song was "Darts of Pleasure" by Franz Ferdinand, but my second choice
had to do with "aim." It was "The Bright Side" by the Aimless Never Miss.
We missed you on the 'cast. I knew right away what I'd use, but when you
hear my intro, you'll know why.
Ahhh, I immediately thought of The Long Blondes 'Darts'.
linda--i tried to think outside the box but my brain is only functioning at
70-80% right now. at least, that's my story!
