I must admit I'm a little surprised that today's contrast podcast wasn't about all things Irish, but it's probably for the best. Better that its themes are not too obvious, or we'd all start thinking we knew what was coming next and that would spoil the fun.
So what is the theme this week? It's "Mountains" and if you go here you can listen to it. It took me a while to make up my mind about what to submit. It didn't take me very long to decide what to talk about in my intro, though. Did you know that the highest point in New York State is Mount Marcy? I kid you not, it is. I've never been to the top, although I've been to the base. Many years ago we were in the Adirondacks and we really wanted to hike it but, sadly, we were stricken with a gruesome gastrointestinal bug that precluded such an endeavor. I intend to return someday, though, because it simply wouldn't be right to never climb it. And after I climb it, I'm going to get me a nifty patch like the one above.

Next week's theme will be "Trios," in celebration of the podcast's third anniversary. Wow, I didn't realize it was that old. It would be a great episode to be a part of, so make sure you pick something trio-related if you want to be in on the fun.

you on there. Love your blog BTW!!!!
