The theme for this week's contrast podcast is "the skin" (you can listen to it here) and I find myself of two minds about it.
My first impulse was to go with my favorite skin song, which is by Cloud Cult. They're the band and it's the song that inspired me to start my blog. And yes, I've posted this before, but it's too good not to share again.
Cloud Cult--"Living on the Outside of Your Skin" mp3 off Advice From the Happy Hippopotamus (buy)
My second thought was to go with a glorious standard by Cole Porter called "I've Got You Under My Skin." This is a jauntier arrangement than I prefer, but it's all I had.
Frank Sinatra and Bono--"I've Got You Under My Skin" mp3 off Duets (buy)
If you want to join in the fun next week and contribute a song to the podcast, the theme will be "sleep." I know I'll be able to find something suitable for that one, god knows I'm tired enough these days!
p.s. Word of caution, when you go searching for images of skin, you need to be careful. There are a lot of yucky pictures out there.
Haha "p.s. Word of caution, when you go searching for images of skin, you
need to be careful. There are a lot of yucky pictures out there." I can
only imagine! This was an odd but interesting CP this week... Cloud Cult is
always goodness. :-)
ah, yes, cloud cult is always a happy choice, i agree! i enjoyed the
podcast a lot this week. better than the 1963 one, i admit it!
I'm soo late making the rounds this week! I loved this song, so glad you
still have it up. Thank you!
