Confessions of Filth
I've been on a cleaning binge lately, as you know, and the other day I came across something really gross. I suppose I shouldn't even be admitting it, but here you are.
Have you ever looked underneath the top of the stove? (Did you even know you could lift it up?) The other day I removed a burner to clean the drip pan and discovered--much to my horror--that there was liquid beneath. Lots of it. Like a pot had boiled over and all that water had pooled down there and stagnated and gone blech. It was yucky, to say the least. So I sopped it up and ended up cleaning the whole stove, which was way more than I'd originally set out to do. I sure hope grandma appreciates it!

ha! i thought the same thing after i wrote it. they'll be sorely
disappointed, won't they? i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one with
horridness hiding around the stove, though. thanks for the reassuring
words! :)
It might be fun to add a few words to your post that could be suggestive in
one context, but innocent in another. How about "heaving"? That ought to
send your counts throught the roof! :)
is that why my food always looks well done and then when i take it out, it
isn't nearly that brown? son of a gun! : ) i think i'll pass on the double
entendres, though. i always feel squeamish when i get linked to porn sites.
last month i did a post called "shopping sucks" and i got linked to some
site where they list anything with "sucks" in the title. needless to say, i
didn't quite fit in with the rest of the posts!
I forgot how much I love "I Confess" by the English Beat. Yum!
