Celebration Post! Plus Contrast Podcast Goodness
It's great timing, too, as I've contributed to this week's Contrast Podcast and the theme is "happy happy joy joy," which expresses my feelings pretty well right about now. (Tell the truth, you thought it was going to be a collection of Ren and Stimpy songs, didn't you?)
I'm very excited about being a new contributor, although it was not an easy task for me. Partly because I didn't have access to my music library, but mostly because I don't have a wealth of happy-happy songs to choose from in the first place! If you've been reading this blog for very long (or know me at all), you know that I am far more inclined to listen to melancholy, sad-tinged music than I am to blissfully joyful stuff. Even the uptempo stuff I like often has dark overtones.
So although conditions were not prime, I think I came up with a pretty good track in the end. What is it? Well, I'm not telling! You'll have to go here to check it out. And PLEASE be kind when you listen to my introduction. I did it in one take because I was in a hurry and simply wanted to get it submitted. In hindsight, perhaps I should've listened to a few other folks' intros from past podcasts and taken a bit more time with it. Next time I will, I promise.

Oh, Marcy, it was FANTASTIC to hear you & your contribution. Your intro
was fine, and the choon you picked was grand. Indeed, a whole dollop of
the happiness generated for me by the podcast was due to the fact that you
finally participated. In fact I was so giddy that I omitted to mention it
in the body of my post - so sorry! I've now rectified that. Thanks also
to Mr Marcy for whipping your computer into shape - without him we'd not
have been graced with your podcast presence!
