The contrast podcast has been exploring body parts this year and this week the subject is "eyes." As you can imagine, I had a ton of songs to choose from.
I decided on this one by Jessie Kilguss when I was on an endorphin high coming back from the gym. It suddenly sounded just right, especially the chorus: "There's a little place behind my eyes where I'm tired / But otherwise I'm doing okay." I think I first heard this over at Local Vertical, so thanks, Chris, for sharing it.

To listen to the podcast and hear what everyone else came up with, go here. Next week is another pre-recorded episode and I'm not sure which one it will be, so you'll have to tune back in then to find out for yourself. Word of warning, the picture Tim used to illustrate the podcast may cause nightmares!
i know, it's ghastly! he's had a few over the years that have really
grossed me out. it must be a gift, to be able to find such disturbing yet
appropriate photos! :)
Oh Tim's gifted alright! Yeah I can't look at that one either. But great
song choice here! xoxo
What a funny coincidence! Read your post this afternoon, though my new
glasses. First pair, but that doesn't make it much better. Lucky for me,
I am off to hear Wilco tonight, for which I will not need them... :)
Liked that eyechart, BTW. Apparently I am not a complete "digital
immigrant", but not by much...
Loved your post picture. Funny and much easier on the eyes than the CP
one!!
rick--congratulations?? my condolences?? ;-) i've resisted bifocals so far
because i can still see just by taking my regular glasses off. i don't know
how long that will last, but for now i'm going with it!
Hi Marcy, just had a few minutes between launch delays to catch up on
everyone's blogs. Thanks for the mention, and glad you enjoyed Jessie's
music!
