Here's my deep thought for the week. Can you miss what you never had? Better yet, can you miss what you don't even know you're missing?
I've come to the conclusion that yes, you can. At the very least, you can miss what you thought it would have been like, or what you imagined it would bring you, or what you hoped it would take away. You can also know that there's a hole in you where something ought to be, even if you don't know what that something is.
Eventually you may figure out what it is that's missing. Conversely, you may never know for sure what it really would have been like to have it. In the meantime, you're stuck missing it, whatever it is.

Yeah, of course you can because, as you say, if it's something you can even
think about missing the you didn't never had it. Kinda. I have no doubt at
all that you can miss what might have been and you can miss what sort of
but didn't quite happen and you can miss things that only exist in these
virtual currents. No question. xxx
Hmmm, this would take me about a pound of pot to figure out, and I don't do
that anymore. So, I'll just go along with you!
