For all you Regina Spektor fans, she will be on Last Call With Carson Daly tonight, Nov. 8th. I wonder what she'll play? My money's on "Fidelity." And get this, Thursday night he's got Wolfmother, and Friday he's got G. Love. Hey, he might be worth Tivo-ing just for his musical guests.
Aside from politics, the best thing about today is, of course, the Contrast Podcast. This week's theme was songs with "when" in the title. You may notice I am not among the contributors. Yes, I decided to take a week off. It's only fair, you know. It's time to give others a chance to play and discover how much fun it is to do. And truth be told, I didn't have a song that I felt absolutely compelled to share. If I did, I would have submitted either one of these two, which are lovely and all, but not quite what I wanted.
Signs of Rain--"When It Rains" mp3 off The Secret Sorrow (buy). Actually, this is a great tune, I'm not sure why I didn't deem it worthy of inclusion. Oh well.
Zero 7--"When It Falls" mp3 off When It Falls (buy). Also a very nice tune, but just shy of being podcast-worthy, I'm afraid.

slow down, i'm really tired this morning! why did she cancel her tour? that
really sucks. usually there are two parties, democrat and republican, but
there are a whole slew of others, like independent, libertarian, green,
even socialist, if you can believe that. most of the time, only the two
major parties win, although we now have two independent senators, one of
whom says he considers himself a socialist. about the cathy davey, i just
went and got it, so i'll report back asap, ok? : )
So, mjrc, how do you really feel? :) If the elections were on a Friday, I
would have definintely been partying it up last night. As it was, I was up
waaay past my bedtime! Cheers!

Got anything that has "Humpty Dumpty" in the title? It's been great
watching this slow motion train wreck over the last 6 months. These guys
must have the thickest skulls in the known universe.
