OK, I know I'm jumping the gun here, but this is so beautiful that I have to share it with you. The band is The Cyanide Valentine and their music is a dreamy blend of electronic and acoustic sounds with soaring male/female vocals. It's yummy. I realize I'm not giving you very much to go on here, but I think you'll find it perfect Sunday listening at the very least.
They've very generously offered up their latest release, The Three Sides of the Cyanide Valentine, as a free download. That's right, the whole thing is available right here. They're from Boston and according to their blog, they're playing out and about in and around the Boston area in February and March.
Here are two of my favorite songs from it. Although truth be told I think it's one of those albums that benefits from being played straight through.

Great call on Cyanide Valentine - I've downloaded the free album and am
listening to it now. One of the best albums I've heard this century.
Definitely a band to feature on the Devil's blog.
hey, that's pretty high praise--one of the best of the century! i really
like their sound, too. :)
Great sound! A bit Beatles-esque, especially on the second track, don't you
think? Cheers!
i agree, there's something about the intro, the harmonies and the ahs that
brings the beatles squarely to mind, but in a good way.
Thanks for the tip - I'm checking them out now. I like what I hear so far!
every time i listen to this i like it more and more. the entire album is
gorgeous. when i find something like this i just want to take people by the
shirt and shake them and say you must listen to this!! :)
I love this CD! I can't believe it was free!
