I knew this would happen. Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is in less than a month and I am already behind.
The trouble is that I don't officially get in the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving and when it falls late in the month, like it did this time, I am seriously up a creek.
Every year I vow things will be different. I swear I'll start shopping earlier and planning and decorating sooner but it never happens. Every year I'm caught by surprise and feel like I'm running out of time. Some things never change.
I didn't even get it together for the contrast podcast this week. The theme was "marvelous mashups," of which I know a few, but I couldn't summon what I needed to get one in. I probably would have picked this one of Death Cab for Cutie and Madonna, although if you check this post, you'll find a wonderful one of Pulp and Stellastarr*.
Next week's theme will be "My job," so if you want to tell us all about what you do, please do. And start shopping! Christmas will be here before you know it.

I love this time of year... But two weeks before Christmas is when I will
start to feel a little spent. LOL
I never got into Death Cab and I can't abide Madonna music, but this mashup
is very cool, and well done. And I like them all in the CP this week,
which is a rarity.
rachel--i really don't finish everything until christmas eve, so christmas
day i'm usually like a zombie! that's when i relax. : )
Reason # 77 that I hate Xmas - stress due to preparations left too long. I
wish I could just ignore the whole damn thing.
