A Significant Contrast Podcast

posted Tuesday, 7 August 2007

This week's contrast podcast is unusual--more unusual than it usually is. Usually, the podcast is made up of songs picked by any number of interested parties, with there being a core group of what you might call the usual suspects, or those folks who contribute on a regular basis.

The unusual thing about this week's theme is that it's the "significant others" of the regular contributors who have picked the songs. The song each s.o. chose is supposed be representative of his or her loved one. Some folks were even brave(?) enough to record their own intro, while others left the talking to the loved one in question. Make sense? You'll probably just want to listen/download it for yourself. Needless to say, I am very interested to listen to this one.

My husband harkened back to the olden days, when we were but mere children, and selected one of the best songs I know. It certainly brings back memories. If only things were as simple now as they were then.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young--"Our House" mp3 off So Far (buy)

Next week's podacst is going to be another special one. It involves a CD swap that transpired amongst a bunch of us. I've been waiting a long time for the denouement of this one!

I'm sure this one's going to make me all warm and fuzzy, and that I'll know the PC'ers just a little bit better!
